London, 26.09.2022 - Beeline, the routing and navigation experts from the UK, are releasing major upgrades for the popular Beeline Moto navigation devices ahead of the highly anticipated Intermot 2022.
Beeline has set itself the goal of offering its users the best routing combined with straightforward navigation; wherever they may be in the world. To achieve this, the team based in London is continuously working on further developing its products and, in particular, incorporating direct user feedback. With an impressive more than 60 million kilometres ridden worldwide, the steadily growing Beeline community is actively involved in the further development of the popular app and device.
The upgrades will be released ahead of the highly anticipated Intermot 2022 Expo in Cologne, where Beeline will be represented for the first time at the stand of its German distribution partner, Hartje, in Hall 7, Stand E30/F39. This participation is a clear sign that the Beeline team intends to maintain its position as one of the main players in motorcycle navigation.
With this enhancement, the routing in the Beeline app offers users an additional route option that allows scenic, winding routes to be selected specifically for an enjoyable ride. This new route option is labeled “Fun” in the app. The upgrade was developed from direct feedback from the Beeline Moto community and is based on an extensive analysis of data from rides already completed, combined with relevant external information from the Open Mapping Community (OpenStreetMap).
Another feature inspired by the Beeline community is the so-called “Free Ride Mode”; the option to record a ride without having planned it in the app beforehand. With this function, users can follow their nose as they ride while having all stats (eg. speed, odometer) tracked by the Beeline Moto and in the Beeline app. With everything recorded, they'll have the opportunity to relive the ride again later on. To launch Free Ride Mode, simply select “Record” in the app, set off, and enjoy.
Further fine-tuning has also been made to the basic settings: until now, brief stops at traffic lights or at a particularly beautiful photo spot were not taken into account during recording. Naturally, this affected the statistics as a summary of the ride, since the stationary time was not deducted from the riding time. With the new “Automatic pause” setting, recording is automatically paused as soon as the rider comes to a stop.
To make the user experience even more enjoyable for the globally growing Beeline community, the Beeline team has also expanded the range of available languages for the navigation devices and the app. In addition to English and German, users currently have 5 further languages available.
The most important update for the Beeline community is likely the ability to export routes as GPX files. Since most navigation apps use GPX files for route guidance, users can easily and quickly share their tours planned with the Beeline app or created using the new recording mode with friends and family. The exported GPX files can be imported as a route into another user's Beeline app or into other routing software such as Calimoto and used for group rides.
Feedback from the globally growing Beeline community will continue to be a positive driving force for further development of the Beeline platform. Additional new features are already in the pipeline and are will be released continuously.
The Beeline team looks forward to your visit at Intermot at the stand of the German distribution partner Hartje in Hall 7, Stand E30/F39.
